The Democratic Women of Henderson County held their annual fall luncheon on Saturday, Oct. 14th at the Cascades in Hendersonville. The guest speaker was NC Democratic Party Chair, Anderson Clayton. Anderson delivered a message of finding our strength and perseverance for the next election. The Mae Alexander Award was presented to Gayle Kemp who received the award via phone from her new home in Chicago. The Luncheon Committee exceeded all expectations for the event by selling out tickets a week prior to the event! A silent auction, raffle, 50/50, and other exciting door prizes all took place during the event. The prized item was a lunch with Fletcher Mayor Preston won by Toryn Stewart.
