Town Hall in Asheville – March 13: Hold Our Congressman Accountable

Updated: Mar 13

📍 Location: Ferguson Auditorium, A-B Tech, Asheville

Time: 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM, Thursday, March 13

🚪 Doors Open: 5:00 PM (Arrive early—seating is first come, first served!)

Western North Carolina residents must demand answers at Congressman Chuck Edwards’ upcoming town hall meeting. This is our chance to hold him accountable for his failure to serve this district.

What’s at Stake?

For too long, Edwards has put extreme party politics over the real needs of Western North Carolina. This town hall is our opportunity to ask tough questions about his record:

  • Slashing Medicaid and Social Security – Edwards co-wrote a bill slashing Medicaid by nearly $900 billion, endangering seniors, working families, and rural hospitals. This backdoor attack on Social Security and Medicare forces people to stretch their Social Security checks even further just to afford care.

  • A Failing FEMA Response – After repeated federal disaster relief failures, Edwards has done nothing to ensure our communities get the help they need. Instead of fighting for real solutions, he plays partisan politics while WNC struggles to rebuild.

  • Neglecting Local Needs – Instead of fighting for economic support, strong schools, and affordable healthcare, Edwards focuses on taxpayer-funded propaganda mailers, partisan attacks, and corporate interests.

Why Attend?

Demand accountability – Ask Edwards why he supports policies that hurt working families, seniors, and rural communities.

Fight for healthcare – Tell him we won’t stand for cuts to Medicaid and Social Security.

Make your voice heard – Show that Western North Carolina expects real representation, not empty rhetoric.
