Action Item: Stop the Steal

The Republican controlled state assembly has just announced that it intends to yet again redraw the State's Congressional district's for the express purpose of stealing an additional Republican Congressional seat.                                                         

They are likely, as early as next week, to gerrymander another Democratic leaning city's district with more rural areas to disenfranchise the city's voters, as they did with Asheville several years ago. Rather than working with Governor Stein in passing a budget, paying teachers and law enforcement and increasing state Medicaid funding to offset federal cuts, the General Assembly is focusing on yet another power grab to further shield themselves from accountability at the ballot box.                                                                                                                                                             

ACT NOW and call or email your state legislators listed below and tell them enough is enough.  Make them understand that if they continue to play partisan gamesmanship and fail to address the needs of the people, we will elect someone who will.
