Announcing a new format for HCDP events in 2026!

HCDP is kicking off the new year with an exciting refresh of our ongoing social events.

Starting this month:

  • Coffee Break with Dems & Friends will be on the second Tuesday of each month from 9:30-11 am at the office, 2024F Asheville Hwy in Hendersonville. The first Coffee Break will be on January 13th.

  • Happy Hour will be the third Thursday of each month at 6 pm at Mills River Brewing in Mills River, with the first one on January 15th.

That's right--both Coffee Break and Happy Hour are kicking off this coming week.

For COFFEE BREAK, people may stop by The Ugly Mug in the same plaza to get their favorite beverage and then walk on down to the office for relaxed and private conversation.

“Coffee Break will focus on a different topic each month so people can explore and learn about different ideas," said Lori Axelrod, second vice chair. “As in the past, both events will help build community among people who believe in a brighter, fairer Henderson County.”

Other new events are in the planning stages, so make sure you are following our social media and blog to stay up to date.  (See the sign in option in top right corner of our news blog to sign up to get emails when news is posted.)

We hope you can join us at one of these events, and we invite you to bring a friend who shares our commitment to democracy and human rights.
