The Henderson County Democratic Party will host a FREE workshop for candidates on Saturday, March 21, 2026, with professional actor Steve Carlisle.


When: March 21, 2026, 2 - 4 p.m.

Where: HCDP Office, 2024F Asheville Highway, Hendersonville NC


During this 2-hour interactive workshop, you will sharpen your communications skills under the guidance of a retired professional actor with extensive performance experience.

You’ll:

  • Learn practical techniques for voice projection, body language, storytelling, and emotional connection to deliver their message with greater clarity and impact.

  • Practice responding to challenging questions and engaging diverse audiences through guided exercises, role-playing scenarios and real-time feedback.

  • Refine your presence, build confidence, and develop an authentic and persuasive public persona suited for today’s political environment. through active participation.


Steve Carlisle is a professional actor with 30 years of experience in Hollywood and New York. He was a college professor of Theater and Communications and Associate Dean at Honors College at Western Carolina University.
