Local Notes: On May 30, Tell Tillis 'Benefits Before Billionaires'

Join NCDP and the Henderson County Democrats outside of Senator Thom Tillis' office in Hendersonville on Friday at 2pm and demand he votes NO on Trump's so-called "Big Beautiful Bill" and tell him we won't stand for it. 3,012,000 children and adults are enrolled in North Carolina Medicaid and 1,415,600 North Carolina residents, or 13% of the state population, rely on SNAP benefits.

Cutting essential programs to fund tax cuts for billionaires is only "beautiful" for the rich people who would get to keep their pretty pennies in their pockets.
