Progressive Alliance of Henderson County (PAHC) Holds April 21th Silent Vigil for Immigration Reform and Postcard Party
Hendersonville, NC, April 10, 2023: The public is invited to join members of the Progressive Alliance of Henderson County in a Silent Vigil for Immigration Reform in front of the Historic Courthouse in Hendersonville from 4:00 to 4:30 on Friday, April 21, 2023. This event will be followed by a Postcard Party from 4:30 – 5:30 at Oklawaha Brewing in Hendersonville.
The goal of the Silent Vigil for Immigration Reform is immigration reform legislation that: promotes reunification of families; meets economic, business, and employment needs of this country; is responsive to those seeking to enter the United States legally; includes a path to citizenship for undocumented residents; and substantially increases the Department of Homeland Security budget for processing applications quickly and efficiently.
The Postcard Party is an opportunity to socialize with like-minded individuals and write postcards to elected officials on current legislative topics and concerns of participants. The theme of this month’s event, in alignment with tax month, is economic security and sustainability for individuals and families. Joining PAHC members at the event will be: Pisgah Legal Services and Just Economics.
